About Highlands Kindy & Early Learning

We understand that you want the very best for your child. At Highlands Kindy & Early Learning, we offer a warm and welcoming environment where your child can learn, play, and grow. Our purpose-built building lets children have a safe, nurturing environment where learning is exciting, positive and encouraging. Our caring and fully qualified Early Childhood Teachers and Educators are intentional about the skills and knowledge that your child needs to gain, develop and become active participants in their learning, and explore their world safely with others. Highlands Kindy & Early Learning is located on spacious grounds in South Toowoomba, near the University of Southern Queensland.

Our opening hours are 7.30am – 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. Our office hours are 8.00am – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

What ages do you cater for?

We cater for children aged 15 months to 5 years old.

What is included?

Our full day inclusions differ depending on the age of your child. Educational programs, food service, nappies, excursions and special events are included for children aged 15 months to 3 years. Additional specialist music and PE lessons, library visits and more are included for children 3 to 5 years old.

Vicki Davey

Director

Vicki is the Director at Highlands Kindy & Early Learning and Highlands OSHC, with a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood & Primary). For Vicki, the opportunity to combine Christian education with the importance of the early years means that every day at Highlands Kindy & Early Learning, working alongside the staff, children and families, is an absolute honour and joy.

Amy Patterson

Assistant Director

Amy has a strong passion for early years education. She believes in recognising each child as a unique individual with their own ideas, interests, experiences, and potentials. Amy’s focus is on creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where children can freely express themselves.

Michelle Turner

Educational Leader

Michelle has been a part of Highlands Kindy and Early Learning since 2006. She believes that God has blessed children with a curious spirit and imaginative eyes, along with the ability to learn through hands-on experiences. Because of this, Michelle focuses on educating children through play, as it serves as their optimal learning medium. 

Elijsha Krushka

Administration Manager

Elijsha is the Administration Manager at Highlands Kindy & EL and Highlands OSHC. Creating a welcoming, loving, safe, and supportive environment for you and your child is of utmost importance to her. Elijsha strives to ensure that every day at Highlands is filled with warmth and care so your children can be the best they can be!

Lynne Henare

OSHC Coordinator

Family is incredibly important to Lynne, and she is blessed with a loving husband, three adult children, and three grandchildren. Lynne believes that every child is uniquely created by God. She strives to create a nurturing environment that feels like a home away from home, where children are valued, happy, safe, and secure.
